Happy National Day on Writing! and an Award :)

Today is the second annual "National Day on Writing"! Started by NCTE, "The National Day on Writing" is a day where everyone -- students, teachers, learners, everyone-- is encouraged to write. Today is the day where you can and should write anything and everything. NCTE has created a National Gallery of Writing where anyone can submit any kind of writing. I encourage everyone out there in the blogosphere to write something today. Anything. Get your writing out there in the world. The piece of your heart that you contribute through writing will forever change the world around us. Make a difference, through writing. Today, I received my first Blogging Award ever-- The Cherry on Top Award! Thank you Teacher/Learner from Whatca' Readin', Books? for thinking of me for this award. It means a lot that ANYONE is reading this blog, especially teachers and lovers of books :)

If you could go back and change one thing in your life,

would you and what would it be?

This might sound a little lame, but if I could change anything in my life it would be to start reading earlier. Now, I have a great passion for books but early in life I resented the fact that I had to read in school. I could have gained so much from reading more at an early age. I am trying to catch up now by reading as many books as I possibly can :)
